Profhilo®

Profhilo® is suitable for anyone suffering from signs of ageing on their skin, such as skin laxity, sagging skin, thinning or dull skin.

Profhilo® is often especially effective in lifting the lower regions of the face but we do perform injections at five different points in the face. Profhilo® can also be used to smooth the neck, hands and decolletage.

Profhilo® is delivered in two treatment sessions, one month apart and results should be visible after your full course is completed. After just one treatment session you will notice your skin looking revitalised and brighter. Profhilo® then continues to work at a gradual, steady rate, meaning you will notice a continuous improvement in your skin post-treatment.

Duration of the Profhilo® results depend on the individual, but you should expect to see results last anywhere from six to twelve months. Depending on your skin, you may need an ongoing Profhilo® treatment plan with Botanix Clinic to continue to see optimum results and to maintain the youthful appearance of your skin.

All makeup or skincare products will be removed, and a topical antiseptic will be applied to the area to be treated to remove any bacteria. In the first treatment, Profhilo® treatments will be injected into 5 entry points for each side of your face, or 10 entry points if the treatment is being applied to your neck. This technique is called BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) and is the preferred treatment method of the aesthetic team at Botanix Clinic.

As Profhilo® is almost completely made of a compound that is naturally produced within your body, hyaluronic acid, the skin will accept the treatment with ease, however you may experience minor side effects such as redness, tenderness or itching at the site of the injections, or potentially some bruising which will quickly fade.

Profhilo®doesn’t require any downtime, but we do suggest that you avoid wearing make-up or touching your face immediately after treatment, and we also advise avoiding strenuous exercise or sports for 48 hours after your treatment. We also suggest that you stay away from hot water (warm showers are fine) for 48 hours. Your Botanix Clinic aesthetician is available for any aftercare questions you might have.
