This is an issue which often goes unnoticed and can be linked to stress or anxiety. Most people who grind their teeth also experience headaches or pain around their jaw as often individuals who grind their teeth also clench their jaw.
By injecting small doses of botulinum toxin or Botox, directly into the muscle that moves the jaw, the muscle relaxes enough to stop involuntary grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw which helps to reduce wear and tear on the teeth as well as reduce pain.

Anyone who is suffering from pain and other effects of habitual teeth grinding or jaw clenching.
We inject the masseter muscle around the jaw with small amounts of Botox to relax the muscles in the jaw.
Results depend on the individual, but on average results can take up to two weeks to take full effect.
On average, results last up to three months at a time.
The area will be prepared, all makeup and skincare will be removed and then the toxin is measured and injected into the skin with a small needle. We do not use numbing cream as our injections are carried out with a very small needle, which can be tolerated by most clients.
Some initial redness and swelling are to be expected, but this will quickly fade within a few days.
Downtime is minimal but clients can expect some mild redness and swelling at the treatment site; this will fade in a few days.
To stop the skin from becoming infected, we suggest clients do not come into contact with hot water for 48 hours post-treatment. We also suggest that clients do not scratch or pick at the treated area.
As well as a thorough consultation with one of our trained aesthetic practitioners all clients wishing to have this treatment will need to have a face-to-face consultation with one of our clinic’s nurse prescribers prior to treatment. A booking fee of 50% of the total cost of the treatment is required but is fully redeemable against your chosen treatment. Failure to give us more than 48hrs notice can risk you losing this.
